Acetic Anhydride

Post  bejoy on Sat Nov 19, 2016 6:38 am

Acetic Anhydride is the simplest isolatable acid anhydride and is a widely used reagent in organic synthesis. Acetic anhydride is produced by carbonylation of methyl acetate. Acetic anhydride is used in the manufacture of cellulose acetate having the application as a base for magnetic tape and in the manufacture of textile fibres. It is also used in the manufacture of pigments, dyes, cellulose and pesticides. http://bit.ly/2eQCGFr
