Copper sulfate is an inorganic compound with chemical formula CuSo4. Pentahydrate is the most common form of copper sulfate, which is bright blue color. Because of this characteristic CuSo4 is also known as blue vitriol and bluestone. It is mainly used in agriculture industry, manufacturing hair dyes and for manufacturing leather products.

What color is CuSo4?
Its color ranges from grayish white in powder from to blue color in the form of crystal which is because it is called bluestone. It is in the form of salt that are used as pesticides, herbicides and fungicides. It is an element that rarely occurred naturally but is moreover-man made. The largest copper sulfate crystals were 153.88 pounds which was grown by German students.

Properties of CuSo4

CuSo4 decays faster before melting
After heating it losses 2 molecules of water
It is produced by leaching low grade copper ore in air
It gets hydrated in air and absorbs water vapor
Hydrated CuSo4 has five water molecules
