Introduction of granisetron

Granisetron is a highly selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist, a result of radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery-induced nausea and vomiting with good prevention and treatment. Granisetron for nausea and vomiting control mechanism is by antagonizing the central and peripheral chemosensory areas vagus nerve endings in the 5-HT3 receptor, thereby inhibiting nausea and vomiting. Granisetron high selectivity, no extrapyramidal symptoms, side effects such as excessive sedation.
