I have a question about water softer salt?
Sodium hexametaphosphate is used as water softener salt to keep dyes, soap from sedimentation and agglomeration.Do anyone know about how Sodium hexametaphosphate sofe the water?

Hello ,
The Sodium hexametaphosphate softens the water by reacting itself with the hardness creating salts such as chlorides etc. and make salts which are water soluble . This is general organic chemistry which should be studied .
