Basic information of copperas

Copperas columnar or granular aggregates, irregular pieces.Blue-green, green; streak white.Transparent to slightly transparent.Surface smooth, rough, exposed in the course of time the value of the air, then becomes pale yellow. Quality hard and brittle, can be scratched with a fingernail marks, easy to smash, break the glass-like gloss masks. Odorless, sweet taste after the first astringent.The color green, crisp, no complex is preferred.
Mainly with natural green vitriol of ferrous sulfate (FeSO4 • 7H2O).Because of different origin, which often contain different impurities than such as copper, calcium, magnesium, aluminum, zinc and manganese. Calcined alumina is mainly purple-red iron oxide,ferric sulfate can still appear a different composition of water.
