Fluoroplastics are a class of parafinic polymers that have some or all of the hydrogen replaced by fluorine. These are all thermoplastic materials.

Important fluoro polymers are

•Polytetra fluoroethylene (PTFE)

•Perfluoroalkoxy resin (PFA)

•TFE-perfluoro methyl vinyl ether co-polymer (MFA)

•Ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer (ECTFE)

•Fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer (FEP)

•Polychlorotetrafluoroethylene (PCTFE)

•Ethylene tetrafluorethylene copolymer (ETFE)

•Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)

•Polyvinylfluoride
